We were super excited when the opportunity to purchase Turf's Up OBX was presented to us. The stars aligned and we took ownership November 1, 2024. We hit the ground running and we plan to be present and active owners that support other local businesses in the OBX area and in the golf industry as well as other local sports.

Sandy is originally from Baltimore, MD but relocated to the Outer Banks in 2003. She has been employed with the Town of Duck since then and still is. She became an avid golfer in 2018 after meeting Tim. She is a Baltimore Ravens fan but is also a Celtic and Eagles fan since falling in love with Tim. Go Birds! If you don't see her at Turf's Up , she is likely golfing at Seascape or working in Duck. She runs the "back" of the house so don't be surprised if she is trying to get you to follow and like the facebook and instagram pages.

Tim is originally from Virginia Beach and found his way to the Outer Banks through a circuitous route by way of Haiti, Boston and Chicago. He wasn't in the Outer Banks long before he met Sandy in 2018.  while Tim plays golf, he also enjoys playing Disc Golf, listening to live music and doing anything in or around water.  Tim manages the front of the house, and has improved the beer and wine selection immensely since taking ownership. He is working on making Turf's Up a comfy cozy place where you want to hang out.

You can find Tim at Turf's most days and Sandy after work from her other job usually for league and special events. Stop in and see them.
